The NASCAR division in the NFL

Well, it turns out that some periodic readers of my blog are fellow NFC South fans. Not everyone can be perfect like me (yea right) so I will allow them to be true to themselves. *LOL* One is an Atlanta Falcons fan - I am only guessing since he lives in the Georgia area. The other actually referred to her Buccaneers. :) I would love for a Saints fan to become a regular reader now. :) The Falcons have pretty much owned the Panthers since 1995. 8-15 is the record against this opponent, with six of those wins coming at home! And now the Panthers will have to go to Atlanta to try and improve against them later this year. To be totally honest Micheal Vick has done a fantastic job against us. I believe he has only lost once. Dunn, just ran over the Panther's defense this week - one that was supposed to be improved. Listening to the radio it seemed like the Falcons moved the ball pretty much at will. Very frustrating as a fan I tell you. The Buccaneers has been a hot and cold rivalry. One year the Bucs own us, the next it is role reversal. There have been some truly good games when these two teams meet on the field. the series is led by the Panthers (6-5) but that is only because of a meeting between the two before they were division rivals. I look forward to trying to watch any game I can when they are playing each other. Which is rare being an out of town fan. :( The Saints... there is a perception that this team is one that is practically a win when ever they are on your teams schedule. I can tell you as a fan from a division rival that this team can come to play. Especially in division play. The Panthers series with this team is dead even (11-11) with both teams having a slightly better record in their opponents house. The only Panther inducted into the their Hall of Honor is Sam Mills who was essentially stollen from the Saints. When I was outside of New Orleans last October I made it a point to visit the Superdome. I have enjoyed football since my first memory of watching a Redskins/Giants game in black and white - and then being taken to a Giants/Redskins game in New York (my father is a huge Redskins fan). I think the NFC South is a good division of football - and the rivalries are cyclical, but they are there. I love football season! :) Updates: Hiku Verse for today: Proverbs 12:1-10, esv Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid. A good man obtains favor from the Lord, but a man of evil devices he condemns. No one is established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous will never be moved. An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones. The thoughts of the righteous are just; the counsels of the wicked are deceitful. The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the mouth of the upright delivers them. The wicked are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous will stand. A man is commended according to his good sense, but one of twisted mind is despised. Better to be lowly and have a servant than to play the great man and lack bread. Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.
