Writting letters

Last night at my DS1's soccer practice I decided to write my beloved a note. I used to do it a lot more often. Not to vent some frustration, or to discuss some deep thought. I just wanted to share how much I loved her. I wanted to share some memories that I had of when we met, while we were dating. Things like that. I printed it out and left it on her nightstand. I'm not sure if she read it - but her demeanor seemed changed this morning. Maybe it's just my perception of her has changed. Either way, it was a joy to write a letter to her again. My e-mail address book has over 130 entries in it. And that is after I've deleted several that were duplicates or incorrect, or people that I no longer interact with (some by several years). But I know I should just drop many of them a note. just to say hi. Maybe i will start doing that. That is all I have today. Our trip around the sun only lasts so long. And those whom God has put into our lives have been put there for a reason. Reach out and write someone a letter. If you are married I highly encourage you to start there. :) I know my heart is lighter today just having written that letter last night. It was a way to remember why/how I am with my beloved. Updates: None Verse for today: Song of Solomon 4:9-10, esv You have captivated my heart, my sister, my bride; you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace. How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much better is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your oils than any spice!

Well done...I believe that next to our relationship with God, our spouse should be first in our lives. Communication of our thoughts and feelings is key to keeping that relationship healthy.

I used to write notes to my wife all the time... we will be married 5 years tomorrow and I think I should start writing them again.

On a side note... thanks for checking out my blog.. I have visited yours every so often for a few months now, and find a lot of your stuff great to read. Keep it coming!
