Musical Monday

Ok, before I lay out the song I wanted to for this weeks Musical Monday I just have to say...

HOW ABOUT THOSE NY GIANTS!

That game was an NFL fan's desire for the championship. It was almost as good as when the Carolina Panthers lost to the Patriots. At least to me... ;-)

Ok, now on to the main purpose of my journal entry today...

The song I had for today is not really a Christian song, but sort of a love song...

When She Smiles
by Christopher Cross

When she smiles I forget my lines
When she smiles man I'm on cloud nine
When she smiles oh it's time out of mind
When she smiles

Then she smiled and said where you been all my life
And she smiled when he asked her to be his wife
And the future had never looked so bright
When she smiled

This song is being played over, and over in my house of late. A friend of a friend game my daughter this little Karaoke microphone, that has three songs in it, and DD3 goes around the house singing this song over and over and over... But it does bring a smile to my face when I hear her singing, and when I see her smile. Almost as much as her mother's smile.
Verse for today:
Proverbs 5:3-6, ESV
For the lips of a forbidden [1] woman drip honey,
and her speech [2] is smoother than oil,
4 but in the end she is bitter as wormwood,
sharp as a two-edged sword.
5 Her feet go down to death;
her steps follow the path to [3] Sheol;
6 she does not ponder the path of life;
her ways wander, and she does not know it.

How sweet. I don't know this song, but I know the joy of hearing your own child sing. It's one of the great joys in life. Do you suppose that's God feels about each of our voices?

Great post, Samurai! I love Christopher Cross and don't really know this song. I am convinced that you'd like God of This City that I featured the other day by Chris Tomlin.

And yes, how about those GIANTS!!

For about 2 weeks I was a Giants fan and was very impressed by their defense and "the play" where Manning escaped to throw a circus catch.

Great game!
