Today we picked Hugh Grant. Here's Wednesday Wickedness!
1. “Basically, my life is so boring, it's embarrassing.” How boring do you think your life is?
1. “Basically, my life is so boring, it's embarrassing.” How boring do you think your life is?
Well, both my Beloved and friends seem to fall asleep when i talk about my work. My life at home is not terribly exciting either. We are just a normal suburban American family, so we have a lot of things happening to keep ourselves from getting bored, but we are not Space Shuttle captains or anything.
2. “But I just know from experience that accent wise, even if you're an accent genius, crossing the Atlantic is the hardest thing in the world either way.” Can you do any accents? If not, do you know someone who is good at it?
Oh, i can do all kinds of accents... none of them well. CHEF does a lot of them that i like, but i am not sure if they are accurate or not. There is something that i really enjoy about the English accents of my UK cousins. I also really enjoy the Australian accent too... and they ARE different... don't ever confuse them... if you are unsure... ask before you speak (as i recently learned).
3. “For any new technology there is always controversy and there always some fear associated with it.” What technology did you at first fear that you now could not live without?

Cell phones. i remember thinking, "why do i need one. There are pay phones everywhere, or i can just use the one at home or work or whatever". Now, i have my very own electric leash and i use it for almost everything... I make calls, i check movie times, i buy things, i check for directions, etc.
4. “I cling to the fantasy that I could have done something more creative. Like actually writing a script, or writing a book. But the awful truth is that I... probably can't!” Do you, or have you ever, thought you have a book in you?

5. “I had Courtney Love's left bosom out of her dress on my plate in front of me. It was extraordinary. I didn't know where to look.” Have you ever been in a similar type of situation?
Wow... i um... honestly have no idea what to say to this... no... i have never been in a similar situation... but i can see how/why it would be so awkward.
6. “The moral of filmmaking in Britain is that you will be screwed by the weather.” How does the weather effect where you live?

7. “When I think about actors I know, I'd much rather hear about who they're shagging than what film they're doing next.” How about you? Are you more interested in you favorite artist’s next work, or the TMZ side of it all?
I could careless about where they go out to eat, or who they are dating. Just like i do not want my whole private home life spread across the TV or newspaper, i don't care to know about what Tom Hanks or Michele Phifer are up to.
8. “Women are frightening. If you get to 41 as a man, you're quite battle-scarred.” Have you ever felt “battled-scarred” by a relationship or relationships in general? If yes, do tell.
Indeed... i was dating a young woman about the time i left to go away for basic training for the Army. All through the ordeal she assured me she was "my girl". Later on i found out that not only did she not remain true to our relationship, she got engaged. Later on... she divorced the man she married, took all four of the houses, the bank accounts, and the cars - with the exception of what needed to be sold off to settle my brothers debts in bankruptcy. That's right... betrayed by both my girlfriend AND my brother. I've told my brother, "of all the fights we got into growing up... i'm glad you won that one".
9. “You know everyone loves to be the villain.” Do you tend to root for the bad guy?

For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess [2] to God.” So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14:10b-12, ESV)
A boss of mine once told me about a general rule he has in regards to his children and video games... if you are not able to do it in real life, you should not do it in a game either. And i like that.
10. “I think that's the whole point of Bridget Jones. It's all about that it's okay to fail.” What have you failed at and learned a lot from?
Wow... it's hard to pick just one... as a matter of fact... i've been thinking about started my own personal meme - Feedback Friday where i get to share life lessons learned the hard way. However, for this one... let's see... when connecting to a device where you are going to be changing the IP address on... it's best to connect to an address you are NOT changing, and is reachable through other interfaces that will also not be affected by the change you are making (please refer back to question #1)
